Welcome to the Riverside Library site.
Library hours are from 8:05 am to 4:00 pm every school day. We will be watching for you when your SSR class comes down for check-outs and when you come in for research projects. Feel free to explore this site in the meantime. See you soon! |

Read Your way! Regular Print Books, eBooks or Books on Nooks!
We will always check-out our beloved print books, but now you have options! Billings Public School Libraries are now checking out eBooks and audiobooks, as well. Riverside has 9 eReaders with pre-loaded books for your use. Search the subject Riverside Nooks in the Library K-12 Card Catalog to see which Nook has which book on it. Then, simply turn in your signed Nook Check-out form, and see the library media specialist to check out the correct Nook. We have also begun to purchase eBooks for you to download to your own personal eReader, laptop, tablet or iPod. The database to search for these books is called BPS Books2Go, and it works just like the Montana Books2Go site at Parmly Billings Library.
If you feel computer savvy and you have an eReader, you can begin checking out books. Click on the Download eBooks & AudioBooks button to the left. A few cautions: 1. You will need to have your school library card number (see me, I'll give you a copy) 2. You can't check out a digital book if you have overdue books from the physical library. 3. If you have a Kindle, part of the checkout process will require you give your Amazon account information. 4. If you don't have a Kindle, you will need to download software to "side load" the book. The program guides you in the download of Adobe Digital Editions. Overdrive Console is the software needed for audio books. 5. You can only checkout 3 books at a time and you are limited on the titles according to age appropriate reading. 6. I don't know everything about the system yet, but I am happy to schedule a time to help you as best I can. 7. We will still have physical books - this is just another way to read!
